"My god, Thao. Slow down so we can catch up!" That's what a lot of people have been saying to me in regards to my recent finished apt, birthday, ENGAGEMENT, and now... a new house! Yeeeep. My fiancé and I went house shopping for fun on the 9th. We weren't planning on buying a house for another year since we don't want to live together until we're married. Buuuut, insert a huge 3,000+ square foot house for a $100K less than its appraisal and you got yourself a deal!

Almost. The closing isn't until mid-October, but in the meantime, we're really excited. The owner accepted our offer the DAY that it was made--on the 10th. The day after our offer was accepted, more offers came in. Too bad those biatches have to sell property first. It's a beauty. I'll have to take pictures soon. So now my big item life-list looks like this:

• Work full-time
• Graduate classes half-time & Homework the other half of the time
• Wedding planning & appointments
• House planning/shopping

Thus, my lack of doing anything else, i.e. sleeping, site updating, or showering (jk. no really.), has its reasons.

I'm still not going to move in with him until after I graduate, which I anticipate to be next December. That way, I don't get distracted with my strong desire to start decorating. I JUST finished my apartment anyway. Plus, he probably wouldn't want to deal with sharing a closet with me, or having the Style Network on CONSTANTLY. Actually, he doesn't mind, he told me he's going to turn the basement into a bachelor pad (he's only allowed to decorate the basement and garage, haha) and he is going to call it The Doghouse. Boys. But I said if he gets in trouble, I'm not sending him to some pimped out pool hall doghouse in the basement! He'll be sent to the backyard or something.

While house-shopping, all of the homes in our price range were all so teeny. They were so small that we couldn't fit our existing furniture into those spaces. Now with this house, we're going to actually have TOO MUCH space. Wait til I post pictures of it--and my new CLOSET!

Thank goodness it's a buyers' market! I am a very very lucky girl!

NOW I just have to convince my fiancé-who-has-never-had-a-pet-in-his-life that a WITTLE CUTIE PUPPY would go PERFECT in the house. Unfortunately, I would have to find a way to bypass his horrid allergies. Maybe I'll have him live in the yard and me and my yorkie, "Unnamed" (for now), will live in the house. Unnamed and I will be great together.

AND good god, you guys are still good with the comments even with the whole Fall pick-up! It's funny, you can always tell who reads the FIRST couple of lines and then hurry to comment over the people who actually read my whole dragged-on posts of nonsensical fun.
