Battle Wounds

: Catherine , Snow_loveEarlier last week, my car got rear-ended by this young girl wearing the largest sunglasses I have ever seen. She went on for a mile a minute about how sorry she was. In the end, I had a minor scratch, so I nixed calling the cops and went on my way. If my bumper was dented, I would have gone off on her huge-glass-wearing behind. Good thing my baby was OK.
Now, I feel like I got punched in the face. I went tubrewing this past weekend with, and I'm estimating, 20+ people. It wasn't the same as last year since D went to my best friend's bachelor party, so I kind of hung out by myself... I was one of those stupid girls who missed her fiancé
. I'll blame that on PMS. Right when I got there, they were ready to jump off the bridge, literally, so I threw on my bathing suit and ran out with everyone. As SOON as I was in the suit and walked towards the bridge, I got eaten alive by mosquitos. I felt like I was vacationing in Vietnam again
.They ate me alive. I think I was attacked by a small green leech as well. My hand started this throbbing, numbing pain after I pulled some sucker-bug off if while getting into the river. When I pulled it off my left hand, it landed on my right hand, which started the whole numbing sensation all over again. All in all, I have about 15 mosquito bites with 5 on my face. I also got sunburnt badly while we tubed down the river. Stupid me, I didn't put on sunblock because the clouds were out. The tent I shared with my Karen got flooded in the early morning thunderstorm so all my stuff got wet. I got a cigerette burn on my arm while tubing too--I cannot stand smokers and that is ONE of the reasons. I'll save the smoker complaints from this post.
Last year's adventures were much better, but I did get some quality time with people.
