I've done it. I've officially built up http://dorkinheels.com and will be closing so-uneek when it officially expires.

I've moved for a couple reasons.
1) I built this site with blogger publishing. I could have easily migrated to wordpress here, but I wanted a fresh start.
2) I am sick of the hyphen.
3) ...and I think that's it.

I finally decided on a new website name... FINALLY. I have 10 that I was trying to choose from. Anyway, with a new name comes a new layout so that is what I've been doing. It's not ready yet.

I love them. I love seeing people I have not seen in awhile and that was exactly the case last weekend. I mean, we saw all these people at our wedding a couple months ago, but when YOU'RE the bride and groom, you don't get to spend much time with everyone.

It was pretty insane. On your day, you are pulled in every direction. People want to chat with you, take pictures. We did everything ourselves so people kept asking us what to do, where that goes, etc. THEN the day is over before you know it.

But the holy grail is being the wedding guest at an affair where all your friends get together once again to celebrate. One of my bridesmaids got married to one of my oldest college buddies. It was so much fun. I was one of the Mistresses of Ceremonies with my two best girls.

I love taking pictures, so naturally, I wanted to help my girl out by taking as many for her as possible. Including the rehearsal and wedding, I took over 800 photos.

...don't seem to exist. I drove into work this morning through a drought of RAIN. It wasn't so bad and I usually take my time in any wet weather. The only crappy part about rain, though, is the attempt of making it from the parking lot into the building without getting everything wet.

I parked my car and managed to pile the following items onto myself. My left arm carried my lunch/briefcase bag, full purse, a disposable cup of green tea, and my ID badge. My right arm carried my gym bag and the massive umbrella sporting the company's logo.

I somehow shut and locked my car door as I noticed another man in the lot doing the same thing, except he had one briefcase, an umbrella, and a coffee mug. Coffee is always a popular bring-to-work item. I always walk slower than everyone. With the same starting point, I trailed behind him. I'm just slow, I deal with it. We finally get to the front door and I witnessed this man stopping by a covered railing.

He put his coffee on the railing, adjusted his shoulder-strapped briefcase and then closed his umbrella.

While he took the time to do that, I close my umbrella, with the right hand that was holding onto it, using my waist as leverage for the handle. Switched the ID badge with the umbrella and passed my badge in front of the sensor. He finally got to the door behind me and entered as I, the one carrying 3 times as much stuff for no good reason other than I might be a bag lady, held the door for him. THEN, I switched the badge and umbrella and walked down three flights of stairs. No green tea was spilled in the maneuvering of this walk-into-work.

I had to giggle a little bit about this. My husband is a one thing at a time kind of guy too. I think most guys are. He can't listen to me if the TV is on, etc.
